The Will To Live

This was a quick sketch on procreate to make sure I remember the idea. This was passed over to Photoshop.

Close up for the face if needed. Quick dragon sculpt of basic forms to place in image to paint over (This is not to show how well we can sculpt!)

The Will To Live

This all started from a Dungeon and Dragons campaign I got to be part of.
Nothing is more Dungeons and Dragons than a dragon, its even in the name!

While the DM ( Dungeon Master ) was describing the dragon, how it started to burn the whole city and everyone was fighting to stay alive. I opened the Ipad and started to sketch a fast doodle just to get my imagination started on paper. (Yea great team mate to play with)

After the game, once I got home, I started to sculpt a very basic form of a dragon. I wanted to see if I can place it in my image to paint over. In photoshop.

I open the rough doodle in photoshop, render my sculpt out of Zbrush and place that in the shot. Something was missing.

In Maya I open one of my basic human base mesh's and take it to Mixamo to auto rig it and pose it so I can have a human form in my shot other than stick figures with shadows.
Once I had everything in photoshop the fun begun. I started the paint over with photobashing to dress everything and the final result is what you see.
If anyone wants to see a full process of something like this let me know in the comments as I can record on the next one step by step and show how to blend 3d and 2d together.

I hope you enjoy!
